My first Google Adsense cheque
Filed Under (Adsense, Internet Marketing) by Chris How on 28-07-2007
Dear readers,
Remember my previous post, Can I really earn money from Google Adsense? I shared with you my Google Adsense earnings and some tips that worked for me.
Today, I finally have received the cheque from Google Adsense via snail mail. As they finalise earnings on the first week of every month, I chalked up another US$21 in my Adsense account before they started to calculate my cheque. Hence the final amount came up to US$121.44 which was converted to $182.03 based on their exchange rate. Remember to set the currency for your payment to Singapore Dollars for easy banking. As my cheque is in Singapore Dollars, and the paying bank is Citibank Singapore, I can deposit it via. the Quick Cheque Deposit just like any other cheque.
This cheque is my first physical payment earned from Internet Marketing. So what I’m going to do is, scan this cheque to keep a digital copy and make a colour photocopy to constantly remind me that you can earn money online, before I bank the cheque in.
So what’s next?
I took an estimated 2.5 months to reach the stipulated US$100 minimum payout amount. What I plan to do is to focus on my websites, probably create a few more to reduce the number of months (or even days) to get my Google Adsense cheques. So stay tuned for more news on my upcoming ventures.
Have you started your Internet Marketing journey?
I would strongly recommend Google Adsense first because it is the easiest affiliate marketing to begin on your website.
While you think about it, here’s my Google Adsense cheque.

Hi, got my cheque too! Let’s help one another
Congratulations! Looking at your cheque inspires me too!
Keep going!
Thanks guys, will keep working on this blog to generate more profits.
Congratulations! Are you able to choose the payment in SGD? If that is the case, then banking the cheque will not be a problem.
I’m still waiting for my first cheque, since I’ve just started, but you seem to be able to get paid within the same amount of time. I have to work harder.
congrats, i am happy that they really pays. i wish to get my check soon,. heheh
Yup, my payment is in SGD. Shouldn’t be a problem banking the cheque because the cheque is issued from Citibank Singapore.
The only bad thing about it is that the exchange rate used by Google Adsense is very low. Even lesser than USD$1.50 to S$1.00.
Congrats Chris!
I just received my cheque today as I was in Perth for a 10 day holiday and only came back home today.
It’s a good encouragement and AdSense works!
Keep it up.
Be well and prosper.
That’s fantastic.
Let’s all work hard and prosper together.
Good works, Chris. Let spread the words and I am learning how to do the same in my website as well :)…Cheers!
Congrats Chris!
Keep it UP!!! Care to share some of your secrets? So that we could catch up with you…
Hi Coldie,
Thanks.
I have shared some tips that worked for me, in my previous Adsense blog post.

Very nice, Chris! Great job! In fact, you can try to develop more great sites and leverage on Adsense!
inside your adsense account, request for the cheque to be made in SGD$ to you..when you do that, google will send you the cheque from US but denominated in SGD$, so you can bank it in like a normal singapore cheque and you DO NOT incur the processing fee and eliminate the weeks of waiting to clear your cheque
Hi Donald,
That’s right. I also noted that the cheque was made payable from Citibank Singapore. I’m not sure if it was made payable from Citibank Singapore all along. If it wasn’t, then it probably started when Google opened its local office in Singapore a few months back.
